Basic moisture detection investigations
Our basic moisture detection process involves:
- Moisture testing with probes and meters only.
- All rooms have non invasive (capacitance) metering
- Checking selected risk areas on walls
- Checking risk areas around windows and doors in all rooms
- Probe testing (resistance) taken in the highest locations or suspect areas
- All exterior penetrations, common risk areas and visual defects are checked where accessible

Comprehensive moisture detection with thermal imaging
Our comprehensive moisture inspection involves moisture testing and surveying utilising thermal imagery (infrared moisture detector), probes and meters.
(This test is highly recommended for pre-purchase inspections and also where there is suspicion of damp house issues)
An infrared camera is used to scan the walls and ceilings of the entire property, and any thermal anomalies are investigated further on the property interior using non invasive capacitance meters and probe resistance readings, and where assessable on the exterior - microwave, dielectric and capacitance meters (depending on the cladding material).
